# Award a Vendor

Awarding records the selected bid and prepares the RFQ for Purchase Order creation.

## Award the Bid

1. Review the submitted bid and any revised versions.
2. Select the vendor in the RFQ review workspace.
3. Click `Award Vendor`.
4. Confirm the award.

BuilderTek updates the RFQ with the awarded vendor, award date, and amount. The selected vendor receives an acceptance request.

## Other Vendors

After the award is finalized, non-awarded vendors can receive an RFQ-closed notification. Their bid history remains available on the RFQ.
